  3. Love the show and love BugGirl!

    My internal botanist was haemorrhaging at hearing pollen described as sperm (male gametes). The male gametes of other plants are generally little swimmers, which are analogous to sperm. But the pollen grains of seed plants produce the tiny gametophytes, which germinate when they contact the female bits of flowers. If a pollen grain is equivalent to anything, it’s a spore. I’m sure BugGirl knows all this…
